- PUPA’S TRUE LIPS PENCIL IN 004
I was in a Pupa store about 2 months ago, and I asked the saleswoman to show me the lip pencils. First shade she swatched on the back of her hand was this one, and I was sold! “Whatever that is, I want it” That’s what I said, and I’m usually not an impulse buyer of makeup. I research my purchases beforehand, look up reviews, similar products and all that. It’s beautiful, long lasting and works well with so many different looks. It’s one of my favourites because June is the month when I started abusing it.
Pricewise, I can’t remember how much it cost, and the nearest Pupa store is 173 km away. Online, the prices vary between 5 bucks and 20 bucks… sooo yeah, not a good indicative for my memory.
- DOUGLAS ARGAN OIL
I bought this one a couple of months ago, then stopped using it because for one month I was under a dermatological treatment, and had to use the face cream prescribed by the doctor. Now that my skin is healthy, and mostly acne free, I can finally enjoy this wonderful oil, AGAIN. Our love started when I first bought it, but having it taken away from me for 4 weeks, I can finally appreciate it again. It is an item that I will surely repurchase. It smells great, hydrates, it’s bio and you can also add it to your foundation for an extra boost of hydration. It’s 30 ml of goodness, at around 10 euro, and it will last you approximately 3 months.
- CHICKEN POOP
Yes, you read that correctly. A friend of mine recently gave me a lip balm called Chicken Poop (Thank you, A!). It’s from an indie brand in the US, and it’s fantastic. Of course it does not contain poop, and not only is the name hilarious but it’s natural, good and smells like lavender. You should definitely check them out!
- NYX EPIC INK LINER
I have finally begun to understand liquid liners! I learned how to do makeup with a gel eyeliner and always found liquid ones to be extremely difficult to use. Well, not anymore! I’m loving this one, it’s such an intense black, it glides on beautifully, and my only concern is that sometimes it bleeds a little bit when I apply it. Overall, it’s been my go to liner this past month and I am finally beginning not to get stressed out by eyeliner. I used to dread that part of a makeup, couldn’t use a liquid liner even if my life depended on it. This one makes it easy. My eyeliner technique is improving with every use, and this really intense black makes the experience much more pleasurable. A new member of the heavy rotation makeup team.
- KAT VON D ALCHEMIST
It’s holographic and witchy. Need I say more? A detailed review on this one will soon be up on the blog.
- AGE AND REWIND CONCEALER
Kept seeing Tati and Laura Lee on Youtube recommend this. And I must say, they were right! Cheap, creamy and long lasting. I can bake on top of it. Overall it’s a really good concealer. My only beef with it is the fact that it gets used up really fast. I’ve used it about 10 times and it’s almost half empty. I do use more than you would use for an easy everyday makeup, so my excesive behaviour might be the reason.
- Unicorn brushes
They arrived from China this month, and I must say, I always find myself reaching for them. They are good synthetic brushes, perfect for applying powder, blush, and highlight. I’ve used every brush from the set, which rarely happens.
I hope you enjoyed my list of monthly favourites. This will become regular series, and I hope you’ll stay tunned, like, share and subscribe! WITCH OUT!
